History buffs, rejoice! The Battle of Natural Bridge reenactment is scheduled for March 1 and 2 to commemorate the 160th anniversary of this pivotal battle. Experience authentic period camps and living history demonstrations. But that’s not all! There will also be food and merchandise available, so you can fuel up while you explore the past.
On March 1, join the festivities at Cascades Park for Tallahassee Pride’s Rise Up: Pride in the Park 2025. From 2-7 p.m., enjoy a vibrant atmosphere filled with artisans’ booths and live performances. It’s a great way to celebrate diversity and community spirit, so come ready to have a blast!
While you’re in the area, don’t forget about the inaugural Peach Players Festival, happening at The Hub at Feather Oaks on March 1 from 11:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. This day-long music festival features original tracks by six talented Georgia songwriters. Get ready to enjoy some fresh tunes while soaking up the sun!
Food lovers, we’ve got something special for you! On the same day, March 1, Cleaver and Cork, hosted by Tallahassee State College, will delight your taste buds from noon to 3 p.m. Taste delicious dishes from local restaurants and see some celebrity chefs in action. It’s a great way to indulge and discover new flavors!
The celebrations keep rolling with a Mardi Gras Parade and Party at Blue Tavern on March 4, starting at 5 p.m. Enjoy live music and festive vibes as you join the party! And if you’re in the mood for more live tunes, check out the Bruce Katz Band performing at The Sound Bar on March 5 at 8 p.m. Tickets are just $15 in advance, so make sure to snag yours!
Also on March 1 and 2, Bach Parley will perform J.S. Bach’s Orchestral Suite in B minor at St. John’s Episcopal Church at 3 p.m. for a suggested donation of $10. Not a fan of classical music? No worries! The Tallahassee Film Society will be screening a live production of “Macbeth” on March 2 and the following week on March 8.
Last but definitely not least, our local music scene is alive and kicking! On February 28, head over to the American Legion Hall for a night packed with rhythm and blues. If that doesn’t tickle your fancy, check out the Screaming Oysters at Great Oaks Pub—the local talent is sure to impress.
