It involved digging a 75-foot well and raising $10,000 for a solar-powered pump and storage tanks, directly benefiting Amon’s family and 11 other households in the region. Unfortunately, the path hasn’t been without its challenges; a drought hit, drying up the initial water source and forcing Rwito to rethink his strategy.

The Next Step in Making a Change

Now, as Amon leads Phase II of the project, he’s determined to reach even more families. This next stage requires another $10,000 for drilling a new well and an additional $15,000 for more pipes and storage tanks, aiming to expand access to clean water for 20 more homes.
