During the Clearwater Invitational, the team showed off their prowess by ending five of their matches early under the run rule—an impressive feat that showcases just how well they have been playing. Their victories against ranked opponents include No. 16 Missouri with a 9-1 drubbing, and significant wins over Ohio State and UCF, both also ending in 9-1 and 8-1 respectively. Then there was the unforgettable match against Wichita State, where Florida State mounted a thrilling comeback from a 5-1 deficit to clobber the Shockers with a staggering 15-5 win!

The star of the tournament undoubtedly was star slugger Michaela Edenfield. She dazzled spectators with a standout performance in Clearwater, notching up an astounding nine RBIs, tallying eight hits, scoring five runs, and launching three home runs. Her career total stands at 44 home runs, and she’s just three away from breaking into the top three at FSU’s all-time rankings.
