Boise Cascade Strengthens Florida Operations with Acquisition of Parksite Door Shop in Lakeland

Boise Cascade Expands Presence in Florida with Parksite Door Shop Acquisition

Lakeland, Florida – Boise Cascade Company announced on December 10 that it has successfully purchased the assets of the Parksite door shop located in Lakeland, Florida. This acquisition solely involves the Florida door shop, which is part of Parksite’s network of 22 locations across the United States. The remaining locations and their respective products will continue to be owned and operated by Parksite, ensuring that their operational integrity remains intact.

The Florida door shop is renowned for its extensive selection of premium entry and decorative glass doors. One of the standout offerings includes the Therma-Tru PrismaGuard premium finish options. Following this acquisition, Boise Cascade plans to maintain current operations at the Lakeland location while simultaneously expanding its product offerings to encompass Simpson doors as well as interior flush and molded doors.

Growth in Millwork Operations

This new location will become Boise Cascade’s 15th millwork site, complementing its existing millwork facility situated in Milton, Florida. Together, these facilities are poised to enhance the company’s ability to supply Therma-Tru products all over Florida, further solidifying Boise Cascade’s role in the industry.

Strategic Advantages

Jeff Strom, Executive Vice President of Building Materials Distribution at Boise Cascade, highlighted the importance of this acquisition, stating, “This acquisition expands our millwork business in the Southern region enabling an even broader reach for our customers.” His commitment to improving customer service and product availability is evident in the company’s plans for the new location.

Ron Heitzman, CEO of Parksite, praised the acquisition, acknowledging the growth potential for both customers and employees alike. He noted, “We started the Lakeland door shop operation from scratch in 2017 and Boise Cascade’s acquisition will expand customer service capability as well as expand opportunity for the associates working in the business.” This perspective underscores how the transaction will provide both parties with significant benefits.

Operational Continuity and Expertise

Boise Cascade currently operates a total of 14 millwork locations, all focused on delivering quality products such as exterior and interior doors, frames, and hardware. This experience will allow for a seamless transition in the operation of the Parksite door shop, with expert staff continuing their work under the Boise Cascade banner.

With the acquisition of the Lakeland door shop, Boise Cascade is not only reinforcing its commitment to quality in the door industry but is also situating itself strategically within Florida’s market. This will better position the company to meet the increasing demand for quality door products and enhance service capabilities within the region.

Future Plans

As Boise Cascade moves forward, the company intends to leverage its expanded footprint in Florida to introduce innovative products that cater to customer needs. This approach will ensure their offerings stay competitive within the market while fostering a sense of trust and reliability with their clientele.

With the backing of an experienced team and a focus on premium products, Boise Cascade is poised for success in its new chapter in Lakeland, further enhancing its reputation as a leading provider in the millwork industry.
