Boise Cascade Strengthens Operations with Acquisition of Parksite Door Shop in Florida

Boise Cascade Acquires Parksite Door Shop in Florida

Boise, Idaho – In a significant move to expand its operations, Boise Cascade Company has officially announced the purchase of the assets of the Parksite door shop located in Lakeland, Florida. This transaction, completed today, is focused solely on the Florida door shop, leaving Parksite’s 22 other locations and product lines intact and under their existing management.

Details of the Acquisition

The Parksite door shop in Florida is renowned for its wide range of premium entry and decorative glass doors, particularly featuring the Therma-Tru® PrismaGuard® premium finish options. Following this acquisition, Boise Cascade plans to continue operations at this location while also broadening its product range. The company intends to include additional offerings such as Simpson® doors and interior flush and molded doors.

Impact on Business

With this addition, Boise Cascade will expand its existing network of millwork locations across the United States. Currently, the company operates 14 millwork facilities located in some of the country’s fastest-growing markets. The Lakeland facility will become their 15th location, strengthening their presence in this key sector.

“This acquisition expands our millwork business in the Southern region, enabling an even broader reach for our customers,” stated Jeff Strom, Executive Vice President of Building Materials Distribution at Boise Cascade. He expressed enthusiasm about welcoming the Parksite Florida door shop team into their operations, suggesting that the acquisition is poised to enhance customer service and create new opportunities for existing staff members.

Strategic Growth

The decision to acquire the Lakeland facility aligns with Boise Cascade’s strategic goal of enhancing their service capabilities in the southern U.S. By leveraging their existing millwork facility located in Milton, Florida, the company aims to ensure comprehensive distribution of Therma-Tru products across the entire state of Florida.

According to Ron Heitzman, CEO of Parksite, this transaction marks a pivotal moment for the Lakeland door shop, which started operations from the ground up in 2017. He emphasized that Boise Cascade’s acquisition will not only improve customer service but also provide greater opportunities for those working there.

About Boise Cascade

Boise Cascade stands as one of the largest producers of engineered wood products and plywood in North America. The company also ranks as a leading U.S. wholesale distributor of building products. Their commitment to quality and customer satisfaction has solidified their position within the industry.

Forward-Looking Statements

In light of the recent changes, Boise Cascade issued a note of caution regarding any forward-looking statements relating to the acquisition. These statements are based on variables that may change, including regulatory approvals and market conditions. The company has indicated that actual results may differ due to various factors involved in the integration of the newly acquired assets.

As Boise Cascade enhances its footprint in the door manufacturing business, it aims to solidify its leadership in the building materials sector and address the growing demands of the market.
