Best of all? It’s completely free and open to everyone!

Show Details You Won’t Want to Miss

The show will run from 1 PM to 5 PM both Saturday and Sunday. It’s a perfect way to spend an afternoon filled with vibrant blooms! Attendees can marvel at over 1,000 different camellias across hundreds of varieties. Given Tallahassee’s fantastic growing climate, it’s no surprise that this event is recognized as one of the largest camellia shows in the United States.

Get Involved: Enter Your Camellias!

Have you ever thought about entering your very own camellias? Great news! Anyone can join in the fun, with a special invitation extended to those just dipping their toes into the world of camellias. If you’re intrigued, make sure to bring your camellia entries to the show by 8 AM on the day of the event. The display is free, and there’s plenty of help available for those entering for the first time.

Judging kicks off at 10 AM, so remember to have your blooms set up before then! For the best presentation, participants are encouraged to bring freshly opened blossoms along with a leaf. No need to worry about the logistics, as cups and water will be provided to keep your beautiful blooms fresh and vibrant.

A Special Dedication

This year’s show has a special touch, as it’s dedicated to Randolph and Marilyn Maphis, longtime members of the Tallahassee Camellia Society. Randolph spent decades managing Publix, while Marilyn owned a charming Hallmark store on East Mahan Drive. Their commitment to the community and gardening is a wonderful highlight for this year’s event.

500 voting sheets submitted, it was exciting to see 230 varieties receive recognition from attendees! It’s a fantastic way to engage with fellow gardening enthusiasts and share your opinions on the best blooms.
